Accountability

Our Policies & Internal Controls

BAKAID operates under strong institutional policies that guide how we protect the people we serve, manage resources and behave as an organisation. They apply to all staff, volunteers, partners and representatives.

Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy

Sets out how BAKAID keeps children and vulnerable adults safe in all programmes, including safe recruitment, codes of behaviour and procedures for reporting and responding to concerns.

Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Policy

Commits BAKAID staff, volunteers and partners to zero tolerance of sexual exploitation and abuse, with clear obligations to prevent, report and act on any incident.

Whistleblowing Policy

Enables staff, beneficiaries and partners to report wrongdoing safely and confidentially, and protects whistleblowers from retaliation.

Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy

Defines BAKAID's zero tolerance for fraud, bribery and corruption, and the controls and investigation procedures used to protect resources.

Financial Management Policy

An IFRS-compliant framework for budgeting, accounting, internal controls, donor reporting and independent audit.

Procurement Policy

Ensures fair, transparent and competitive procurement of goods and services that delivers value for money.

Data Protection Policy

Protects the privacy and confidentiality of beneficiaries, staff and partners in how BAKAID collects, stores and shares information.

Code of Conduct

The standards of integrity, respect and professionalism expected of every BAKAID staff member, volunteer and representative.

Our Safeguarding Commitment
